1. Purpose
This policy defines acceptable and prohibited uses of ElderWatch AI to protect the dignity, privacy, and safety of Elder Users and the integrity of the platform.
2. Permitted Use
ElderWatch AI may be used to:
- Monitor the behavioral routine of an Elder User who has given informed consent (or for whom the account holder has valid legal authority)
- Configure alerts and escalation workflows for genuine caregiving purposes
- Generate and review behavior reports for the purpose of family caregiving coordination
3. Prohibited Use
You may not use ElderWatch AI to:
- Monitor any individual without their knowledge and informed consent, absent valid legal authority (e.g., guardianship, power of attorney)
- Monitor a spouse, partner, employee, or any non-elderly adult for surveillance, control, or coercive purposes
- Harass, stalk, intimidate, or control the Elder User using data or alerts from the Service
- Attempt to access another user's account or elder profile without authorization
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service via unauthorized automated means
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable elder abuse, surveillance, or privacy laws
4. Consequences of Violation
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund, and may be reported to relevant authorities where the Company has reasonable cause to believe abuse, coercion, or elder mistreatment is occurring.
5. Reporting Misuse
If you suspect ElderWatch AI is being used to harm, control, or surveil someone without consent, contact safety@elderwatch.ai or your local adult protective services / law enforcement immediately.
